Found in Malaysia, Java and Sumatra at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with close set, rarely branched, terete stems enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying oval to almost circular, basally twisted, obtusely bilobed apically, muricate, fleshy leaves that blooms in spring on a terminal, or rarely axillary, very short to .17" [4.5 mm], 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with conspicuous, spreading, ovate-orbicular, apiculate, concave floral bracts
