Masdevallia carruthersiana


La fleur s'est cassee lors du transport, alors photo un peu speciale mais tellement plus facile a prendre!!!

Partial shade, temperature cool to intermediary, flower in summer.
Found in Ecuador at altitudes of 1200 to 2500 meters as a small sized, caespitose, epiphytic herb with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute to obtuse leaf that is narrowly cuneate below into the subpetiolate base that has a congested, many flowered, 12"+ [30 cm+], triangular inflorescence with imbricating floral bracts and successively opening, single flowers that are held well above the leaves occuring in the summer.
