Found in Java, Bali and Sumatra as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte and occasional terrestrial in montage forests at elevations of 15 to 1450 meters that is quite rare in collections with erect, close set, non-branching stems carrying throughout their length ovate, obtuse, facing the stems, not basally twisted leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a mostly terminal, sometimes lateral near the apice, branched, 4" [10 cm] long, very slender, fractiflex apically, gradually lengthening, successively 1 or 2, to 40 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts.
